Join us for a night of Radiating Kindness: Expanding Our Capacity for Kindness and Compassion

 a public talk Presented by Malibu's BodhiFest Special Events 

Just like the Dalai Lama, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and Mother Theresa; we all can learn to expand our hearts to include all beings as our beloved. We can each the capacity to realize a vast open heart and to genuinely help others. Its our natural state. Through practice of loving kindness we can become more empathetic, considerate, forgiving, and in general happier people. Khenmo Drolma teaches a meditation of loving kindness, drawing from traditional Tibetan Buddhist training that is appropriate for all faiths and experience levels.

​Monastics live entirely by donation and Khenmo Drolma holds the full responsibility for supporting Vajra Dakini Nunnery, all the programs, and nuns in residence.  No one will be turned away for lack of funds/donating. The public talk is a public community event.

Vajra Dakini Nunnery, engages in peace, practice and service, ​ is located in Bristol, Vermont and opened in the fall of 2007. Some of the programs the Nunnery offers are as follows: 

- Working with those considering entering the monastic life,

- Overseeing progress toward ordination for those who have chosen the monastic path,

- Dharma teachings and interfaith talk 

- Lay public weekly meditation & teachings, 

- Youth programs

- Working within the local hospice community, 

- Women Spiritual Leaders of Vermont Conference and more

- Vajra Dakini

BodhiFest Special Events continues celebrating the mind-body-spirit throughout the year with art, film, educational, informational, musical, Buddhist and other spiritual events with the theme and ultimate goal of Enlightenment for all.



Bodhi (Sanskrit) is both a Pali and Sanskrit word traditionally translated as "enlightenment," but more accurately it means "awakening" or "to know."

Khenmo Drolma, is an American Buddhist nun and Abbess of Vajra Dakini Nunnery. Khenmo has trained with the foremost spiritual teachers of our time, including H.H. Dalai Lama, Chetsang Rinpoche, head of Drikung Kagyu lineage, and Ven. Pema Chodron.

Fully ordained in 2002, Khenmo went on to become the first westerner in her lineage to hold the title and responsibility of Abbess.  Since then, she has worked tirelessly to establish the Nunnery and teaches nationally and internationally. 



Khenmo, a breast cancer survivor, has spent many years in the Hospice field. She has served as the VP of Addison Respite Care Home, an Art Fellow at Connecticut Hospice, and board member of Maine Respite Home.
